Playstyle overview

Anaxa is a damage dealer who can quickly add multiple Weakness Types to the enemy team. When he attacks an enemy that has several Weaknesses, he triggers an extra Skill that costs no Skill Point. When he uses his Ultimate, he can directly add all 7 Weakness Types to every enemy.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Works as both a main DPS and a sub-DPS
  • Implants all 7 Weakness Types on every enemy extremely quickly, letting the whole team break them
  • Strong single-target damage (and Toughness damage as well) for an Erudition character
  • Has guaranteed crowd control to cut off enemy bonus turns
  • A flexible rotation: he can use Basic ATK and still keep his Ultimate on a two-turn cycle
  • Fits superbly into one of the strongest DPS teams around

Cons

  • Fairly weak AoE damage multipliers for an Erudition character
  • He faces competition in the roles he is best at, both as a Weakness implanter and as an Erudition support DPS

Best Anaxa Build Guide

DPS Build

Stat Targets

  • CRIT Rate 80% - 100%
  • CRIT DMG 100% or higher when out of combat
  • SPD 134/135 or any higher SPD breakpoint
  • ATK 2500 or higher

In this Anaxa build, prioritize CRIT Rate over CRIT DMG, because he already gains plenty of CRIT DMG from his own Traces or from Herta’s skill effect.

Genius of Brilliant Stars is the strongest Relic set for Anaxa, especially alongside his signature Light Cone Life Should Be Cast to Flames. The reason is that this Light Cone reduces enemy DEF. On top of that, Anaxa can ignore even more of the target’s DEF when they have a Quantum Weakness.

If you do not own Anaxa’s signature Light Cone, Scholar Lost in Erudition performs almost as well as Genius of Brilliant Stars. Eagle of Twilight Line is also a strong option if you run Anaxa together with Herta.

Overall, the best Relic set is simply the one with the best substats. You can find more detail on Anaxa’s Relics, Planar Ornaments and Light Cones further down the article.

Anaxa needs at least 80% CRIT Rate to crit consistently and to meet the activation threshold of Rutilant Arena. Although Anaxa can pick up CRIT DMG from his Traces or from Herta’s effect, having at least 100% CRIT DMG out of combat is enough for him to deal steady damage.

For SPD, Anaxa only needs 134 or 135, and he should be 1 SPD faster than the support that advances his action. You can build higher SPD as well, just keep an eye on the speed breakpoints.

While Anaxa is on the field, inflicts the “Qualitative Disclosure” state on enemy targets that have at least 5 different Types of Weaknesses. Anaxa deals 36% increased DMG to targets afflicted with the “Qualitative Disclosure” state. In addition, after using Basic ATK or Skill on them, unleashes 1 additional instance of Skill on the targets. This additional Skill does not consume any Skill Points and cannot trigger this effect again.
