What is Honkai: Star Rail?
Honkai: Star Rail (HSR) is HoYoverse’s turn based RPG set on a journey across the galaxy. You control a team of four characters, each with an Element (Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, Imaginary) and a Path (Destruction, Preservation, Hunt, Erudition, Harmony, Nihility, Abundance, Remembrance, Elation).
How do I build a character properly?
A strong build combines the right major Traces, a Light Cone that matches the character’s Path, a Relic and Planar Ornament set that boosts the stats they actually scale on, and supports that cover their weaknesses. Every character page on Honkai Builds lists a recommended build, skill priority and suggested teams.
How often is the tier list updated?
The tier list is reviewed every patch and whenever a new character releases. Characters are rated at Eidolon 0 with a suitable Light Cone, across four modes: Overall, Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow.
Which character should I invest in first?
New players should prioritise the SS and S+ tiers in the Overall list. Those characters perform well across every mode and are the easiest to build. Check the HSR Tier List to pick one that suits how you like to play.
