Ripples of Past Reverie

“Is this a meeting ordained by fate, or… a long-overdue reunion? It’s making my heart beat faster. Then… please once again call me ‘Cyrene,’ just like when we met the first time, okay?”

Should You Pull for Cyrene?

Support

Cyrene is a Remembrance support made specifically for the Chrysos Heirs. She raises the whole team's DMG, lets allies deal extra True DMG, and her first Ultimate of the fight activates every teammate's Ultimate right away. On top of that, each Chrysos Heir gets a special buff tailored to them, so if you have already invested in these characters, she is well worth pulling.

She suits players who already run a Chrysos Heir team with characters like Castorice, Evernight, Phainon or Anaxa and want to push it further. If your teams aren't built around Chrysos Heirs, think twice: outside those teams she falls off hard and her first Ultimate comes slowly.

Memory of Chaos Outstanding In Chrysos Heir teams like Castorice or Phainon, she boosts the whole team's DMG and adds True DMG for the entire fight.
Pure Fiction Outstanding Her first Ultimate activates every teammate's Ultimate, and her Skill's Zone adds an extra instance of True DMG every time an ally deals DMG.
Apocalyptic Shadow Outstanding Her tailored buff for each Chrysos Heir makes the team's damage dealer much stronger, as long as you play her in a proper Chrysos Heir team.
Pros & Cons

Pros

  • A top-tier support for Chrysos Heirs
  • Her passive adds extra damage and True DMG for the whole team
  • Individually tailored buffs for each Chrysos Heirs member
  • Competitive performance inside Chrysos Heirs teams
  • Her first Ultimate of the fight hands every ally their own Ultimate right away
  • Takes well-invested Chrysos Heirs teams to a whole new level

Cons

  • Slow to get going at Eidolon 0 unless you run a full Chrysos Heirs team
  • Weak once she leaves Chrysos Heirs DPS teams
  • Skill Point negative during her Ultimate ramp-up phase
  • Eidolon 2 fixes the slow start

Best Cyrene Build Guide

Best Cyrene Build

Build Cyrene as a support, and SPD is the stat that matters most. The more often she acts, the more often her teammates get "Future," the faster she gathers "Recollection," and the sooner her first Ultimate comes up.

Best Light Cones

  • 1 This Love, Forever This Love, Forever Best
Her signature Light Cone. The main reason to get it is the big SPD boost, which makes the 180 SPD mark much easier to reach. It also raises allies' CRIT DMG and makes enemies take more DMG, so it fits CRIT-based teams best.
  • 2 Memory's Curtain Never Falls Memory's Curtain Never Falls Great
A solid free-to-play pick that gives plenty of SPD to hit her breakpoint. Its DMG buff for allies turns on after Cyrene uses her Skill, but after her first Ultimate she can only use her Enhanced Basic ATK, so she can't refresh it anymore. If it's sitting unused in your inventory, just give it to her.
  • 3 Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky Great
Gives SPD, exactly what Cyrene needs, and makes all enemies take more DMG after Demiurge uses its Memosprite Skill. It works especially well in Castorice or Evernight teams. Keep in mind the effect doesn't stack if more than one ally in the team equips this Light Cone.
  • 4 Victory In a Blink Victory In a Blink Good
A 4-star option that gives some CRIT DMG and a DMG boost after Demiurge buffs an ally. Use it if you don't have any of the Light Cones above.
  • 5 Sweat Now, Cry Less Sweat Now, Cry Less Stopgap
A 4-star option that gives some CRIT Rate and a DMG boost for Cyrene and Demiurge. Use it if you don't have any of the Light Cones above.

Best Relics

1
The top choice. Mixing two 2-piece SPD sets helps Cyrene reach the SPD breakpoint for Causality in Trichotomy, and Messenger Traversing Hackerspace is also easy to farm. If you don't have good pieces yet, 2 pieces of Diviner of Distant Reach or Warrior Goddess of Sun and Thunder work too.
2
For teams that don't need much SPD, like Castorice teams. This set makes the whole team deal more DMG, but it only turns on after Cyrene uses her Ultimate. Pick it when you aren't aiming for 200 SPD and can still reach 180 comfortably.
3
From her second Ultimate onward, every Ultimate Cyrene uses advances her action, so she gets more turns. The downside is that you need a lot of SPD substats for it to work well.

Best Planar Ornaments

1
Her best pick. It advances Cyrene's action at the start of battle, and with enough SPD she gets 3 actions in the first cycle without needing 200 SPD. Acting early means she gathers "Recollection" faster and her first Ultimate comes sooner.
2
Raises Cyrene's CRIT Rate and gives all allies 8% SPD while Demiurge is on the field. The catch is that Demiurge only shows up after her first Ultimate, which takes a while to charge, so this set fits when you don't need the action advance from Sprightly Vonwacq. If the team has another Remembrance character, they can wear this set instead.

Main Stats

  • BodyHP% or CRIT DMG
  • FeetSPD
  • Planar SphereHP% or Ice DMG Boost
  • Link RopeHP%

Substats

  • 1SPD (until 180 or 200)
  • 2HP%, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG

Body can be HP% or CRIT DMG, and the Planar Sphere can be HP% or Ice DMG Boost. Cyrene's attacks scale off her Max HP, and Demiurge's Max HP is based on Cyrene's too, so HP% is always useful. Boots should be SPD, no question.

SPD comes first until you reach the mark you're aiming for. After that come HP%, CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, which are close to equal, so keep whichever of them you roll.

Stat Targets

  • SPD180, or 200 and up
  • HP5000 or more
  • DEF1000 or more
  • CRIT Rate50%
  • CRIT DMG100% to 160%

Skill Priority

Memosprite Skill > Skill > Talent = Ultimate > Memosprite Talent > Basic ATK

Level the Memosprite Skill first, since it makes the special buff Cyrene gives each Chrysos Heir stronger. Her Skill raises the True DMG multiplier of her Zone. Her Talent raises the team-wide DMG bonus and her Ultimate raises the CRIT Rate she gains; those two are close, with the Talent slightly ahead. The Memosprite Talent only adds Max HP for Cyrene and Demiurge, and the Basic ATK only adds DMG, so leave them for last.

Trace Priority

Causality in Trichotomy, Ripples Across Time, Child of Remembrance

All three Traces are high priority. Causality in Trichotomy boosts the whole team's DMG by 20% once Cyrene reaches 180 SPD, and every point of SPD above that gives her and Demiurge 2% Ice RES PEN (counting up to 60 excess points). Ripples Across Time gives her "Recollection" at the start of combat based on how many Chrysos Heirs or Remembrance characters are on the team, which matters a lot for her first Ultimate. Child of Remembrance stops teammates' memosprites from using up "Future" when they act, so Cyrene gets more "Recollection."

Eidolon Priority

E2 is the best value

E2 gives her 12 extra "Recollection" when entering combat, half of what she needs for her first Ultimate, and raises the True DMG multiplier of her Zone for each ally that got a buff from Demiurge (up to an extra 24%). This is the Eidolon that fixes her slow start. E1 gives more "Recollection" and more DMG for Demiurge, but it doesn't speed up her first Ultimate, so only get it if you plan to go to E2. E6 advances every ally's action by 100% on her first Ultimate.

Best Cyrene Teams

Castorice Team

Replace Evernight with: Tribbie, Robin • Summeretto

This is the most common Cyrene team. All three of her teammates are Chrysos Heirs, so Ripples Across Time gives her 6 "Recollection" when combat begins, and Hyacine is the fastest at charging it. Demiurge's HP follows Cyrene's HP, which helps Castorice charge her Ultimate faster. Her special buff for Castorice lets "Newbud" overflow up to 200% so Netherwing hits harder, most of all when there are 2 enemies or fewer on the field.

Evernight Team

Replace Trailblazer (Remembrance) with: Robin • Summeretto, Tribbie

Cyrene gives Evernight a buff that lasts the whole battle: Evey's Memosprite Skill deals more DMG, Evernight gains an extra "Memoria" each time she uses her Skill or Ultimate, and the CRIT DMG boost from her Skill gets stronger. The Trailblazer (Remembrance) also has a special buff from Cyrene: after the Trailblazer uses Enhanced Basic ATK, Demiurge gets an extra turn and uses "Minuet of Blooms and Plumes."

Phainon Team

Replace Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae with: Robin • Summeretto, Trailblazer (Remembrance), Sparkle

Cyrene keeps Phainon transformed for the whole fight: when Khaslana runs out of extra turns, they refresh instead of ending the Transformation, and he also gets CRIT buffs and a few small instances of Fire Additional DMG after each attack. For Cerydra, her special buff lets Cerydra reach Coup de Main one step sooner. If the team has no other Remembrance character, Cyrene's first Ultimate can take quite a while.

Anaxa Team

With Cyrene, play Anaxa as your main DPS. Each time he gets her special buff, he recovers 1 Skill Point for the team, takes action immediately, and his Skill deals 3 more instances of DMG for that turn. Time Cerydra's Coup de Main to land with this buff and Anaxa uses his Skill 4 times, each with 8 Bounces. Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae gets his own buff automatically whenever Demiurge uses its Memosprite Skill, so you don't have to spend a pick on him.

Best Teammates for Cyrene

Castorice
Castorice

Cyrene is the last Remembrance piece for Castorice teams. Demiurge's HP follows Cyrene's, so Castorice charges her Ultimate faster, and the special buff lets it overflow up to 200%.

Evernight
Evernight

Gets a buff for the whole battle: Evey's Memosprite Skill deals more DMG, Evernight gains extra "Memoria" from her Skill or Ultimate, and the CRIT DMG boost from her Skill gets stronger.

Hyacine
Hyacine

The fastest at charging Cyrene's "Recollection", since she has high SPD and every action she takes is followed by Little Ica, for 2 points. Hyacine also gets her special buff automatically when Demiurge uses its Memosprite Skill, no pick needed.

Phainon
Phainon

Cyrene is an easy support for Phainon: she keeps him transformed for the whole fight, refreshes his extra turns and adds CRIT buffs. Without another Remembrance character, her first Ultimate comes slowly.

Anaxa
Anaxa

Each time he gets the buff, Anaxa recovers 1 Skill Point for the team, acts immediately and his Skill hits extra times. You can apply it again after every Ultimate, so he is a great target.

Mydei
Mydei

If Mydei is in his "Vendetta" state, the special buff makes him use "Godslayer Be God" right away without consuming Charge, with 100% extra CRIT DMG on that attack. That way he decides when to use it instead of relying on losing HP.

Cerydra
Cerydra

Gets a buff for the whole battle: each time Coup de Main ends, Cerydra gains 1 point of Charge, so the next one only takes 5 points instead of 6. She fits in both the Phainon and Anaxa teams.

Aglaea
Aglaea

The special buff lets Aglaea regenerate 70 Energy after her next attack, plus more DMG and ignoring part of the target's DEF. You can apply it again and again to help with her huge Energy cost.

Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae
Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae

Gets his buff automatically when Demiurge uses its Memosprite Skill, no pick needed. In a pinch, pick Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae directly for an emergency Follow-up ATK with a stronger Shield.

Trailblazer (Remembrance)
Trailblazer (Remembrance)

Has a special buff for the whole battle: more ATK and CRIT Rate based on Demiurge's stats, and after the Trailblazer uses Enhanced Basic ATK, Demiurge gets an extra turn to use "Minuet of Blooms and Plumes." Putting both in the same team is quite practical.

How to Play Cyrene

Gather Recollection for Your First Ultimate

Cyrene's Ultimate uses "Recollection" points instead of regular Energy. When combat begins and after each of Cyrene's actions, her teammates and their memosprites gain "Future." When an ally with "Future" takes action, they consume it and give Cyrene 1 "Recollection" point. She also earns her own: her Basic ATK gives 1 point and her Skill gives 3.

Her first Ultimate needs 24 points, and reaching that mark also dispels all debuffs on her. The more Chrysos Heirs or Remembrance characters on the team, the faster she charges, because Ripples Across Time gives her points at the start of combat and Child of Remembrance keeps teammates' memosprites from losing "Future."

The First Ultimate Is the Big Moment

Her first Ultimate summons Demiurge, gives it 1 extra turn right away, and activates every teammate's Ultimate, including characters with their own special charge like Phainon, Acheron, Feixiao or Castorice. Summoning Demiurge also dispels Crowd Control debuffs from all allies. Demiurge doesn't appear on the Action Order and counts as Out-of-Bounds, so enemies can't target it.

After that, Cyrene enters the "Ripples of Past Reverie" state: she can only use her Enhanced Basic ATK, To Love and Tomorrow ♪, which hits all enemies, her and Demiurge's CRIT Rate goes up a lot, and her Skill's Zone stays up for the rest of the fight. From here on she only needs 12 "Recollection" to use her Ultimate again. The first one also only spends 12 points, so as soon as you hit 24 you can use it twice in a row and hand out 2 special buffs at once.

Her Skill Zone and True DMG

Her Skill gives Cyrene 3 "Recollection" and deploys a Zone that lasts 2 turns. While it's active, every instance of DMG an ally deals adds 1 extra instance of True DMG based on the original DMG. If Cyrene is downed, the Zone goes away too. On top of that, her Talent raises the whole team's DMG as long as she is on the field. While you wait for her first Ultimate, she uses more Skill Points than she makes, so keep an eye on the team's Skill Points.

Demiurge's Turn: Buff or Attack

Every time Cyrene uses her Ultimate, Demiurge acts right away and you get two choices. The first is "This Ode, to All Lives" on one ally: a Chrysos Heir gets a special buff tailored to their kit, some one-time and some lasting the entire battle. Anyone who isn't a Chrysos Heir just gets a DMG boost for 2 turns.

The second is "Minuet of Blooms and Plumes", which hits all enemies. Thanks to Cyrene's own special buff, "Ode to Ego," it also deals 1 extra hit to a random enemy for each different teammate who gave her "Recollection." This option is best once all your Chrysos Heirs are buffed, or when no buff needs refreshing.

Quick Tips

  • Aim for 180 SPD first, since that's the mark where Causality in Trichotomy kicks in and boosts the whole team's DMG by 20%.
  • Use her Technique before entering combat so her Skill's Zone is already up from the start.
  • Buffs that last the entire battle, like Castorice's or Cipher's, only need to be applied once, so save later Ultimates for one-time buffs like Mydei's or Anaxa's.
  • Hyacine and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae get their special buffs automatically when Demiurge uses its Memosprite Skill, so you don't need to pick them.
  • Against lots of enemies, don't bother overcharging Castorice's Ultimate, because most of the DMG then comes from attacks that don't benefit from the overflow.

Playstyle overview

Cyrene is a support character who can summon the memosprite “███” to assist in battle, and when her allies are Chrysos Heirs she can grant them exceptionally powerful buffs. Cyrene can charge the Ultimates of the whole team, and while her Zone is deployed she also lets every ally deal extra True DMG.

Cyrene FAQ

Is Cyrene worth pulling?
Yes, if you have already invested in the Chrysos Heirs and want them to perform better in future content. She does a lot inside Chrysos Heir teams, but she falls off hard outside them.
Should I get E2 or her signature Light Cone first?
Usually E2 first. E2 gives her 12 "Recollection" at the start of combat, so her first Ultimate comes much sooner, especially in teams without other Remembrance characters. If your team charges her "Recollection" reliably through teammates' memosprites, you can consider the signature Light Cone first.
What Light Cone should Cyrene use without her signature?
Memory's Curtain Never Falls is the free-to-play pick thanks to its high SPD. Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky also fits her well, especially in Castorice or Evernight teams. For a 4-star option, use Victory In a Blink.
How much SPD does Cyrene need?
At least 180 to activate Causality in Trichotomy, with 200 or more as the higher goal. With Sprightly Vonwacq she can get 3 actions in the first cycle without reaching 200, as long as her SPD is high enough.
Can Cyrene buff characters who aren't Chrysos Heirs?
Yes, but they only get a DMG boost for 2 turns, which also applies to their memosprite. To get the most out of Cyrene, your team should have at least 2 Chrysos Heirs.
