Mind is Might
[Single Target]Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 140% of Dr. Ratio’s ATK to one designated enemy target.
“The most annoying thing about idiocy is that you can’t explain it to an idiot.”
Dr. Ratio is an Imaginary DPS on the Path of The Hunt who focuses on single targets and gets most of his damage from Follow-up ATKs. The more debuffs an enemy has, the harder he hits, which makes him a natural boss killer. That said, his damage multipliers are low compared with version 3 characters, so he is no longer one of the first picks to carry a team.
A good fit if you already own Dr. Ratio and have a few debuffers like Silver Wolf, Pela or Jiaoqiu, or Robin and Topaz & Numby for a follow-up team. If you are looking for a new long-term DPS, think it over carefully before pulling.
Dr. Ratio scales off CRIT and ATK. His Traces already give him a good amount of CRIT Rate, so building his CRIT stats is fairly easy. His teams usually throw out a lot of Follow-up ATKs, so pick Planar Ornaments that reward that playstyle.

On the Body, CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG both work, so take whichever balances your stats. On the Feet, SPD and ATK% are both usable, but SPD comes first. For the Planar Sphere, go for Imaginary DMG Boost, with ATK% as an acceptable backup. The Link Rope is simply ATK%.
If you play around a SPD breakpoint such as 134, reach it first. If you keep him at base SPD, put everything into CRIT. The two CRIT stats are equally important. ATK% comes last, nice to have once the rest is done.
Most of Dr. Ratio's damage comes from Follow-up ATKs, so level his Talent first. Skill and Ultimate are about even. If you have to choose, level the Skill slightly earlier, since it is what you use whenever the Ultimate is not ready. Basic ATK goes last because his Skill deals far more damage.
Summation gives CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG stacks that last the whole battle, Deduction increases his DMG when the enemy has 3 or more debuffs, and Inference lets him apply 1 extra debuff by himself.
E1 Pride Comes Before a Fall raises the Summation stack limit to 10 and gives him 4 stacks right at the start of battle, which means an instant 10% CRIT Rate and 20% CRIT DMG. E2 The Divine Is in the Details adds Imaginary Additional DMG to his Follow-up ATKs based on how many debuffs the enemy has. E6 is also very strong: it adds 1 more Wiseman's Folly trigger and increases the DMG of his Talent's Follow-up ATK by 50%.
Dr. Ratio's team should have one buffer and one debuffer, and the debuffer matters most because it keeps his Follow-up ATKs going. Cipher adds extra damage to the team, while Topaz & Numby increases his Follow-up ATK DMG. If you have Aventurine, run Robin to boost the whole team's follow-up damage. Without him, swap in Silver Wolf to pile lots of debuffs on the enemy.
A hypercarry team where everything goes into Dr. Ratio as the main DPS. March 7th (The Hunt) buffs him and adds extra damage, while Asta raises his SPD and has a chance to Burn the enemy. Natasha keeps the whole team healed.
Use this team in fights where enemies are weak to Quantum but not to Imaginary. Silver Wolf is a must here, because she implants an Imaginary Weakness on the enemy. If the enemy is already weak to Imaginary, swap Silver Wolf for another debuffer such as Welt.
The top choice for the buffer slot in any follow-up team, which makes her a great match for Dr. Ratio.
Applies one of the debuffs Dr. Ratio's Skill needs. With her E1 or her signature Light Cone, she can fully cover his debuff needs. When Dr. Ratio's Follow-up ATK hits the target Topaz has marked, Numby also gets its action advanced.
Applies a huge number of debuffs, almost enough by herself to keep his Follow-up ATKs firing every time and push his debuff-based DMG bonus to the top. She can also implant an Imaginary Weakness on enemies.
Brings 2 debuffs he can keep up almost permanently, plus 1 more from his Light Cone. With Jiaoqiu handling debuffs, you have much more freedom choosing the buffer and sustain.
A 4-star character who uses Follow-up ATKs. The state Moze puts on an enemy counts as a debuff, and Moze wants teammates who attack as often as possible, so the two cover each other's needs very well.
The easy-to-get version of Jiaoqiu, applying debuffs and shredding enemy DEF. With Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat equipped, she adds another DEF reduction debuff.
Adds extra damage to the team and pairs very well with Dr. Ratio.
A sustain who also uses Follow-up ATKs and puts a debuff on enemies that makes them take more CRIT DMG. With his signature Light Cone he applies even more debuffs.
Shields the whole team and buffs the ATK of one ally. He does not apply debuffs for Dr. Ratio, though, unless he equips a Light Cone that applies them.
Her Burn and her Firekiss both count as debuffs, which helps Dr. Ratio launch Follow-up ATKs consistently. At E1, her Skill also lowers the enemy's Effect RES.
Every time he uses his Skill, his Talent Cogito, Ergo Sum has a 40% fixed chance to launch a Follow-up ATK, and each debuff on the target adds 20% to that chance. In practice, if the enemy has 3 or more debuffs, every Skill comes with a Follow-up ATK. His Trace Inference makes his Skill lower the enemy's Effect RES, so your teammates only need to bring 2 more. Keep in mind that this debuff is applied after the chance is checked, so if it is your 3rd debuff, the first follow-up is not guaranteed.
His Ultimate Syllogistic Paradox applies Wiseman's Folly to the enemy. When allies attack that target, Dr. Ratio automatically launches a Follow-up ATK, up to 2 times. Wiseman's Folly is not a debuff, and it disappears when the enemy dies instead of jumping to another enemy. His Ultimate costs a hefty 140 Energy, so aim it at the boss or the tankiest enemy so it does not go to waste.
His Trace Summation gives 1 stack for each debuff on the target when he uses his Skill. Each stack adds 2.5% CRIT Rate and 5% CRIT DMG, up to 6 stacks, and they last for the whole battle. You do not need to get them all at once: against an enemy with 3 debuffs, 2 Skill uses fill all 6 stacks. Deduction adds 10% DMG per debuff when the enemy has 3 or more, up to 50% at 5 debuffs. Hitting 3 debuffs so his follow-up always fires is the part that matters most, so do not bend your team out of shape just to reach 5.
Because he follows up so often, Dr. Ratio's Energy gain is pretty good: each Talent Follow-up ATK gives 5 Energy, each Skill against an enemy with 3 or more debuffs gives 35 Energy, and his Ultimate gives an extra 10 once all Wiseman's Folly triggers are used up. His Follow-up ATKs also deal a lot of Toughness damage, so he breaks enemies fairly quickly.
Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 140% of Dr. Ratio’s ATK to one designated enemy target.
Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 188% of Dr. Ratio’s ATK to one designated enemy target.
Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 288% of Dr. Ratio’s ATK to one designated enemy target and applies “Wiseman’s Folly.” When Dr. Ratio’s teammates attack a target afflicted with “Wiseman’s Folly,” Dr. Ratio launches 1 instance of his Talent’s Follow-Up ATK against this target.
“Wiseman’s Folly” can be triggered for up to 2 times and only affects the most recent target of Dr. Ratio’s Ultimate. This trigger count resets after Dr. Ratio’s Ultimate is used.
When using his Skill, Dr. Ratio has a 40% fixed chance of launching a Follow-Up ATK against his target for 1 time, dealing Imaginary DMG equal to 338% of Dr. Ratio’s ATK. For each debuff the target enemy has, the fixed chance of launching Follow-Up ATK increases by 20%. If the target enemy is defeated before the Follow-Up ATK triggers, the Follow-Up ATK will be directed at a single random enemy instead.
After using Technique, creates a Special Dimension that Taunts nearby enemies, lasting for 10 second(s). After entering battle with enemies in this Special Dimension, there is a 100% base chance to reduce each single enemy target’s SPD by 15% for 2 turn(s). Only 1 Dimension Effect created by allies can exist at the same time.
The maximum stackable count for the Trace “Summation” increases by 4. When a battle begins, immediately obtains 4 stacks of Summation. Needs to unlock Summation first.
When his Talent’s Follow-Up ATK hits a target, for every debuff the target has, deals Imaginary Additional DMG equal to 20% of Dr. Ratio’s ATK. This effect can be triggered for a maximum of 4 time(s) during each Follow-Up ATK.
Ultimate Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to a maximum of Lv. 10.
When triggering the Talent, additionally regenerates 15 Energy for Dr. Ratio.
Skill Lv. +2, up to a maximum of Lv. 15.
