“The third month of Amphoreus is the month reserved for the Veil of Evernight… Then let us call this incarnation, the shadow of her, ‘Evernight.'”

Should You Pull for Evernight?

Main DPS

Evernight is an Ice Remembrance DPS whose damage scales off Max HP. She builds up Memoria, and once she has 16 points her memosprite Evey jumps in, hits the whole enemy field and then disappears. She can carry a team on her own and is also very strong as a sub-DPS next to Castorice, so she is well worth pulling.

She suits you best if you play Castorice or need an Ice DPS. Her CRIT DMG buffs go almost only to memosprites and get stronger with more Remembrance characters on the team, so think it over if you own few Remembrance characters.

Memory of Chaos Outstanding She already hits hard as the main DPS, and she does even better as a sub-DPS next to Castorice.
Pure Fiction Outstanding Her Ultimate and Evey's Dream, Dissolving, as Dew both hit every enemy on the field.
Apocalyptic Shadow Outstanding She works as either the main DPS or the sub-DPS, and her Ultimate makes all enemies take more DMG.

Best Evernight Build Guide

Best Evernight Build

Evernight scales with Max HP and CRIT DMG. Stack CRIT DMG, keep CRIT Rate at the target, then add HP. You don't need to worry about SPD.

Best Light Cones

  • 1 To Evernight's Stars To Evernight's Stars Best
Her signature Light Cone and the top choice. It gives a lot of HP, lets ally memosprites ignore 20% of enemy DEF, and refunds Energy when Evey disappears, which helps cover her 240 Energy Ultimate. It shines most when she plays sub-DPS, and it is still a top pick when she is the main DPS.
  • 2 Make Farewells More Beautiful Make Farewells More Beautiful Great
Higher base HP, a boost to Evernight's own DMG, a stronger DEF ignore effect, and an Action Advance after Evey disappears that can help her reach new SPD breakpoints. You give up the signature's Energy refund and DMG increase, and whether that trade is worth it depends on the situation, but this one fits the main DPS playstyle better. For sub-DPS Evernight the signature is clearly ahead because it buffs the whole team.
  • 3 Sweat Now, Cry Less Sweat Now, Cry Less Great
High HP, CRIT Rate, and more memosprite DMG while Evey is on the field. The catch is that she can easily overcap on CRIT Rate next to CRIT Rate buffers like Trailblazer (Remembrance), and it does nothing extra for the team when Evernight plays sub-DPS.
  • 4 The Flower Remembers The Flower Remembers Great
A 4-star Light Cone that gives CRIT DMG to both Evernight and Evey. Since Evernight shares her CRIT DMG with memosprites, Evey benefits from it twice. Its ceiling is lower than Sweat Now, Cry Less, but it has no CRIT Rate overcap problem, and it works for both playstyles.
  • 5 The Story's Next Page The Story's Next Page Stopgap
Just an HP stat stick that falls behind the more damage-focused options above. Fine to use if you have nothing else.

Best Relics

1
The set made for Evernight and her best choice whether she plays main DPS or sub-DPS. It gives CRIT Rate, raises HP for both her and Evey, and increases the whole team's DMG after Evernight uses a Basic ATK or Skill.
2
If you can't put together 4 pieces with good stats yet, pair 2 pieces of World-Remaking Deliverer with 2 pieces of Longevous Disciple. You can swap Longevous Disciple for Scholar Lost in Erudition or Hunter of Glacial Forest.
3
A stopgap until you have her own set. Any 2-piece bonus that gives CRIT DMG or HP% is fine.

Best Planar Ornaments

1
The top pick for every playstyle. Its HP and CRIT DMG raise Evernight's own damage and make her buffs stronger.
2
Good when Evernight is the main DPS in a full Remembrance team, and the more Remembrance characters you bring, the better it gets, up to 36% more DMG with 8 ally targets on the field. Skip it when she plays sub-DPS, especially next to Castorice, because Castorice's memosprite is often not on the field when Evey attacks.

Main Stats

  • BodyCRIT DMG
  • FeetHP%
  • Planar SphereIce DMG Boost or HP%
  • Link RopeHP% or Energy Regeneration Rate

Substats

  • 1CRIT Rate (until you hit the target)
  • 2CRIT DMG
  • 3HP%

Go CRIT DMG on the body because her buffs scale off that stat, and she already gets plenty of CRIT Rate from the Dark the Night, Still the Moon Trace. Take HP% on the feet and skip SPD, since Evey already has 160 SPD. On the Planar Sphere, Ice DMG Boost and HP% both work. On the Link Rope, HP% comes first, then Energy Regeneration Rate.

CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG matter equally. Once your CRIT Rate reaches the target, put everything into CRIT DMG, and only then HP%.

Stat Targets

  • HP7000 to 8000
  • CRIT Rate65% before the Dark the Night, Still the Moon Trace (100% with it)
  • CRIT DMG160% to 180% or more, before Trace buffs
  • SPD99 or higher, staying close to base SPD is fine

Skill Priority

Ultimate = Skill > Talent > Basic ATK

Her Skill sets how big the memosprite CRIT DMG buff is. Her Ultimate raises the DMG boost and how much extra DMG enemies take. Her Talent raises the CRIT DMG buff for Evernight and Evey. Level Evey's Memosprite Skill early too, alongside the Ultimate and Skill, since it raises the DMG Evey deals, and the Memosprite Talent raises the DMG buff for both Evernight and Evey. Leave Basic ATK for last because she uses her Skill much more.

Trace Priority

Dark the Night, Still the Moon > Rouse the Flame, Lull the Light > Kindle the Morn, Drop the Rain

All three Traces are very important, so unlock them early. Dark the Night, Still the Moon gives 35% CRIT Rate, extra CRIT DMG, and a Skill Point refund. Rouse the Flame, Lull the Light gives Energy and Memoria every time Evernight or an ally memosprite uses an ability. Kindle the Morn, Drop the Rain adds more memosprite CRIT DMG, and it gets bigger the more Remembrance characters you have on the team.

Eidolon Priority

E2 is the best stopping point if you want to invest more

E1 greatly raises the DMG of every ally memosprite, and the fewer enemies there are, the bigger the boost, up to 150% of their original DMG when only 1 enemy is left on the field. E2 gives 40% CRIT DMG, adds 2 extra Memoria every time she gains Memoria, and gives 2 extra Charges on Ultimate, so Darkest Riddle stays up for nearly the whole fight. E6 gives the whole team 20% All-Type RES PEN and lets her keep 30% of the Memoria spent on each Dream, Dissolving, as Dew, so it gets stronger the longer the fight lasts.

Best Evernight Teams

Castorice and Evernight Team

Replace Cyrene with: Robin • Summeretto, Tribbie, Trailblazer (Remembrance), Ruan Mei Replace Hyacine with: Luocha, Gallagher

This is the most-used team for Evernight. Castorice drains her teammates' HP, so Evernight and Evey keep losing HP and build Memoria very fast. In return, Evernight can summon Evey every turn, and all of Evey's HP gets drained and turned into Ultimate charge for Castorice. Evernight's Skill raises the CRIT DMG of every ally memosprite and her Ultimate makes enemies take more DMG. Cyrene buffs Evernight directly, while Hyacine heals and adds extra Memoria.

Evernight Main DPS Team

Replace Robin • Summeretto with: Tribbie, Trailblazer (Remembrance), Ruan Mei, Pela Replace Hyacine with: Luocha, Gallagher

Evernight is also great as the only DPS. Keep at least 2 Remembrance supports on the team so the CRIT DMG buff from her Skill stays high. Robin • Summeretto boosts the DMG of both Cyrene and Evernight, gives Evernight Energy, and her Ultimate's well-timed Action Advance lets Evernight use her Skill twice before Evey spends 1 Darkest Riddle Charge. Cyrene makes Evernight's CRIT DMG buff stronger and speeds up her Memoria gain, and Hyacine handles healing.

Easy Team with Trailblazer (Remembrance)

If you don't have Castorice or Cyrene yet, pair Evernight with Trailblazer (Remembrance) and Lynx, and fill the last slot with any CRIT DPS you own. Trailblazer (Remembrance) still counts as a Remembrance character for Evernight's buff, adds CRIT stats and gives the odd Action Advance. Evernight's Skill costs no Skill Points, so Trailblazer (Remembrance) can use their Skill freely.

Best Teammates for Evernight

Castorice
Castorice

The character who gains the most from Evernight. Castorice's HP drain helps Evernight build Memoria, draining Evey charges Castorice's Ultimate much faster, and Castorice's memosprite also gets Evernight's CRIT DMG buff.

Cyrene
Cyrene

Gives Evernight a permanent buff: an extra 12% on her CRIT DMG scaling, faster Memoria gain, and more Memosprite Skill DMG for Evey.

Hyacine
Hyacine

Evernight's and Evey's abilities consume HP, which triggers healing from Hyacine's memosprite Little Ica. Little Ica acts often, so it adds a good amount of Memoria, and Hyacine's Ultimate raises Evernight's HP. With Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky, Hyacine also drains Evernight's HP for even more Memoria.

Robin • Summeretto
Robin • Summeretto

Boosts the DMG of both Cyrene and Evernight and restores Energy for Evernight. Her Ultimate's on-demand Action Advance lets Evernight use her Skill twice within one Darkest Riddle Charge.

Trailblazer (Remembrance)
Trailblazer (Remembrance)

Adds CRIT stats, Action Advance, and counts toward the number of Remembrance characters. When Evernight is the main DPS, Evey also gets Trailblazer's extra True DMG effect, at the full 50% since Evernight's Max Energy is high enough.

Tribbie
Tribbie

A strong support who helps the team deal more DMG to Elite enemies. She can replace Cyrene or Robin • Summeretto.

Ruan Mei
Ruan Mei

Raises Break Efficiency and slows down how fast enemies recover from Weakness Break.

Pela
Pela

A 4-star who lowers enemy DEF with her Ultimate, and can replace one support in the Evernight main DPS team.

Luocha
Luocha

Gives steady healing and can also dispel enemy buffs.

Gallagher
Gallagher

A 4-star healer who uses his own debuff to heal the team, and can take Hyacine's slot.

How to Play Evernight

Build Memoria from Many Sources

Everything in Evernight's kit revolves around Memoria. Her Skill gives 2 points. Each time Evernight or Evey loses HP, whether from enemy hits or from spending their own HP, she gains 2 Memoria and both of them get a CRIT DMG boost for 2 turns. Each time Evey uses Remembrance, Whirling, Like Rain, Evernight gains 1 more point, and that attack gets stronger for every 4 Memoria Evernight has. The Rouse the Flame, Lull the Light Trace adds 1 point at the start of combat and 1 point each time Evernight or an ally memosprite uses an ability. That is why teammates who drain HP, like Castorice or Hyacine with Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky, help her build Memoria much faster.

At 16 Memoria, Evey Hits the Whole Field

When she has 16 or more Memoria, Evernight dispels and becomes immune to Crowd Control debuffs, and Evey immediately takes action with Dream, Dissolving, as Dew. This attack deals damage for every point of Memoria, hitting the primary target hard and the other enemies too. Afterward it consumes all Memoria and Evey's HP, Evey disappears, and your team recovers 1 Skill Point. Evernight gets 10% SPD plus another 1% for each Memoria spent (counting up to 40 points), and the boost is removed at the start of her next turn. Use that early turn to cast her Skill, summon Evey again and start the next cycle.

Ultimate Opens the Darkest Riddle State

Her Ultimate costs 240 Energy. It summons Evey to hit all enemies and puts Evernight into the Darkest Riddle state. During this state all enemies take more DMG, Evernight and Evey deal more DMG, and both are immune to Crowd Control debuffs. Most importantly, each Skill use gives 12 extra Memoria, 14 in total, so Evey keeps exploding for huge damage. The Ultimate gives 2 Charges, each Dream, Dissolving, as Dew uses 1, and if no Charges are left at the start of Evernight's turn, she exits the state. You can tell she is in Darkest Riddle when her character portrait gives off a dark aura. The Rouse the Flame, Lull the Light Trace gives her 70 Energy at the start of combat.

Keep the Skill CRIT DMG Buff Up

Her Skill consumes 10% of her current HP to summon Evey, and raises the CRIT DMG of all ally memosprites based on Evernight's own CRIT DMG for 2 turns. If Evey is already on the field, the Skill restores 50% of Evey's Max HP. The Kindle the Morn, Drop the Rain Trace adds another 5%/15%/50%/65% CRIT DMG when the team has 1/2/3/4 or more Remembrance characters, so the more Remembrance characters you bring, the bigger the buff. Use her Technique before a fight so you start combat with this buff already active.

Quick Tips

  • You don't need to farm SPD: Evey has 160 SPD by default, and Evernight gets a SPD boost every time Evey disappears.
  • Use her Technique before battle to start with the memosprite CRIT DMG buff already up and 1 extra Memoria.
  • If Trailblazer (Remembrance) is on the team, think twice before using Sweat Now, Cry Less, since she can easily overcap on CRIT Rate.
  • Evernight's Skill costs no Skill Points, so save your Skill Points for her teammates.
  • If you don't have a good Light Cone, any Light Cone from any Path with high base HP works as a stopgap, ideally one with at least 1270 HP.

Playstyle overview

Evernight is a damage dealer who can summon the memosprite “Long Night” to fight, and she can raise the damage of every memosprite on the team. Using her Ultimate also puts her into the “Dark Enigma” state, which grants several layers of buffs. Once she has enough “Memory Essence,” “Long Night” can act immediately and spend all of its HP to launch an attack.

Evernight FAQ

Is Evernight worth pulling?
Yes, especially if you play Castorice or need an Ice DPS. Evernight deals very high damage in Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction and Apocalyptic Shadow, and she works as either the main DPS or a sub-DPS.
Should Evernight be the main DPS or a sub-DPS?
Both work well. As a sub-DPS, pair her with Castorice, which is her most popular team. As the main DPS, run her with Robin • Summeretto, Cyrene and Hyacine. Either way, bring more Remembrance characters to keep her CRIT DMG buff high.
Is Evernight hard to play?
Getting the most out of her is fairly hard. You need to understand how Memoria builds up and how Darkest Riddle works so you can adapt as the fight goes on. The good news is that her baseline strength is very high, so she is still strong even if you don't play her perfectly.
What Light Cone should Evernight use without her signature?
Make Farewells More Beautiful is a good pick when she plays main DPS. Cheaper options are Sweat Now, Cry Less or The Flower Remembers. If you have nothing else, The Story's Next Page works just for its HP.
Which Eidolon should I stop at?
E2 is the best stopping point: 40% more CRIT DMG, faster Memoria gain, and Darkest Riddle stays up for nearly the whole fight. E1 is also very strong, especially when only one enemy is left on the field.
