Avgin in the Sigonian tongue means "Honey". That ordinary name has now vanished completely from the river of the universe's history.
This perception is not entirely groundless. The Avgin possess beautiful faces, shimmering eyes, and an inborn high emotional intelligence, and so they easily win the goodwill of strangers. Yet it is precisely this inborn talent that draws envy and hatred upon them. Those petty, jealous people began to slander them without pause, and that slander spread across the galaxy like a forest fire. On the tongues of the world, the Avgin, who were originally a small people living on the fringes of the planet, are now attacked without being able to speak up, silently bearing every kind of prejudice.
The Avgin love cloth with intricate patterns, and they love precious stones as well, especially jewelry made from Sigonian turquoise meteorite. The reason is simple, only this kind of gem can compare with the divine body of Mother Earth Gaiathra in their mythology, the goddess said to be reborn out of death.
Their Mother Gaiathra is known by the name Fenge Biyos, the ruler of everything connected with birth, travel, and scheming. In the belief of the Avgin, she is usually depicted as a left hand with three eyes. The Avgin usually express their reverence for her through prayer, and they believe that Mother Gaiathra is as quiet and plain as the mountains of Sigonia, and that carving statues and raising songs of praise would only push them away from her shelter.
The Avgin see the world through the body of Mother Gaiathra, the ground, the mountains, and everything that exists upon them are all a part of Mother Gaiathra's body, and upon the last day of the year, the body of Mother Gaiathra will receive death.
On that last day, her radiant divinity will fly up into the night sky, become a brilliant aurora, and then be reborn the following day. Therefore, on the first day of the new year, the Avgin hold a great ceremony called "Kakava", where they weave offerings called Knots of Cyclicality and throw them into the fire to welcome the rebirth of Mother Gaiathra
According to the report of the Market Development Department, that terrifying uprising took place on the night of Kakava. That night there was violent wind and rain, and the clouds swallowed the auroral light in the sky. Despite the ill omen, the Avgin were still tremendously excited. When asked the reason for this, a young woman of the clan answered as follows:
"Rain is the grace of Mother Gaiathra. This is Mother calling us, wanting us to take up weapons and fight for our future."
"The rain will walk with us and protect us. In the rain, we will die with honor."
